Mediation is a Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process to help clients settle differences with out going to court. The clients engage with a mediator who is not on either parties side and is not a judge . The mediator helps the clients listen to each other and negotiate an outcome.
Mediation saves legal costs, can same time, as meeting can be arranged in months and the stress of going to court. We do recommend clients take legal advice
This differs depending on the mediation case type. A typical Divorce case which involves the division of assets and children’s arrangements will be completed on average within 3 or 4 sessions.Each mediation meeting is 90 minutes Workplace and Commercial disputes are normally resolved within 24 Hours of the mediation beginning. These disputes are normally mediated in an intensive half day or daily session
We offer transparent and affordable fees:MIAMs cost £120 per person, or £70for Universal Credit recipients.Mediation sessions are £200 per person, pr £150 per person for child-only mediations.We can apply for a £500 government-funded voucher for mediation sessions involving children to reduce your costs.Finally, we charge fees for preparing the documents you'll need to finalise the arrangements: In children’s cases, £130 per case for a Statement of Outcome and in financial cases, £380 per case for an Open Financial Statement (financial disclosure summary) and a Memorandum of Understanding (what you’ve agreed). These can be taken to a solicitor to draft a Consent Order.Mediation normally costs far less than trying to settle directly in court
Unlike other mediation providers we do NOT charge for court forms . This is important to consider when you are comparing costs
In cases that involve children we can claim £500 on behalf of clients towards the cost of mediation. The vouchers does not cover the MIAM or document fees

Family mediators are accredited by the Family Mediation Council and are members of the College of Mediators or Family Mediators Association. Our commercial mediators hold relevant accreditations and are members of the Civil Mediation Council.
No, mediation agreements themselves aren't legally binding. However, the documents we prepare after mediation can be provided to your solicitor to create a legally enforceable agreement.
